Fitness And Exercise – Why It Is So Important To Total Wellbeing
Physical fitness through exercise is an essential element of life for all people. Medical and health experts have concluded that most people have a very low level of physical fitness that, unless they perform the daily movements they have conditioned themselves to do, such as getting out of bed, walking to work, performing physical activities during work and at home, will loose the little physical fitness they already have.
Like any living person, every living part of our body will waste away if we do not use it. Like the saying goes, …use it or lose it…, the human body must be used or it will eventually waste away. It is like when you are laid up in a hospital bed with a broken leg and cannot use it for a number of weeks. What happens when the cast comes off? You have to spend a considerable amount of time to return that limb to normal use as it has undergone muscular atrophy.

This is a simple exercise whereby you cave in that mid section that causes you all the pain and anguish and hold it there whilst maintaining normal breathing. Holding it there for 30 seconds and resting for 20 seconds, and again for 5 times over. At first it may burn a little, but that is perfectly OK and means that you are working a muscle group that has not worked in a while.
As you get better at it, you can push the holds for a minute or more and repeat 5 to 10 times over. I know through my experience that this works and rids of those chronic bad back pains.
Fitness and exercise is a life activity that should be conditioned as normal part of living, just as sitting in front of a TV is, and just like sitting in the bar drinking with friends is.
You see, not only will fitness and exercise help you feel better about yourself, it will prolong your life, allow you to do things you never thought possible, give you more energy during the day, motivate you to do more in the tight schedule you have, but also give you more time.
Think about it for a minute, if you are feeling more energised to do more, then you will work more efficiently with your time and free up time to do the things you always complained not having time to do.

Health Care Reform – Changes to Your Health Care as of September 23, 2010, Part 1
September 23, 2010 – another important date for Health Care Reform. Health Care Reform is the newest media buzz, but it is still such a mystery for so many people. It is hard to understand what changes take place and when. And, it doesn’t help that there are so many misconceptions floating around. So, let me explain the changes being made by Health Care Reform as of September 23, 2010.
Changes Already In Place
$250 Medicare Drug Cost Rebate In June, 2010, checks started being mailed out to an estimated 4 million senior citizens that have reached the “donut hole”. The “donut hole” is the gap in Medicare prescription drug coverage many seniors face when they hit a certain age. Checks will continue to be mailed out monthly throughout 2010 as seniors hit the coverage gap. Small Business Tax Credits The first phase of this provision provides a credit worth up to 35% of the employer’s contribution to the employee’s health insurance, and up to 25% for small non-profit organizations. Up to 4 million small businesses are eligible for these tax credits. It is designed to help them provide insurance benefits to their workers. Expanding Coverage for Early Retirees On June 1, 2010, applications for employers to participate in this program became available. Americans that retire before they are eligible for Medicare and are without employer-sponsored insurance, are forced to pay high rates in the individual market. They watch their life savings dwindle away. To help preserve employer coverage for early retirees until more affordable coverage becomes available through the new Exchanges by 2014, the Affordable Care Act has created a $5 billion program to provide coverage to people who retire early, as well as their spouses and dependents. Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plans On July 1, 2010, the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan was created to provide new coverage options to individuals who have been uninsured for at least 6 months because of a pre-existing condition. Allowing States to Cover More People on Medicaid Effective April 1, 2010, states are able to receive federal matching funds to cover some additional low-income individuals and families under Medicaid whom federal funds were not previously available. For states that choose to cover more of their residents, this will make it easier to do so. On January 1, 2014, the rest of this provision will go into place where it becomes mandatory that states provide Medicaid to additional residents who wouldn’t normally qualify. Cracking Down on Health Care Fraud Just during fiscal year 2009, $2.5 billion has been returned to the Medicare Trust Fund as a result of efforts to fight fraud. The Affordable Care Act invests new resources and requires new screening procedures for health care providers to boost these fraud-fighting efforts and reduce fraud and waste in Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP. Health Care, Who Needs It?
The Nationalized Health Care debate continues in Washington and in many communities across America. Many well meaning people seem willing to accept a little socialism, if it means helping a wide swath of the citizenry obtain a basic human right. Socialist politicians recognize a wedge issue to grant a new entitlement to a segment of the population, thereby cementing their political support for generations.
Is health care a basic human right? The Declaration of Independence proclaims that, “all Men…are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable Rights…Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”", it seems strange to ask government to give me something already granted, by a higher power. The government cannot restrict or take this right away. Most of the political arguments refer to 50 million Americans that do not have health insurance. The cynic requires accurate numbers from a more reliable source than a pol on TV. According to the 2005 Census, the total number of uninsured people in America counts 46.577 million. 9.487 million are NOT LEGAL citizens and 8.3 million made $50,000 to $74,999 per year and chose not to buy insurance. An additional 8.74 million make over $75,000 per year and do not buy insurance.
Among uninsured that own their own home, 60% reported excellent or very good health. Median household income in 2005 was $46,326 so 17.04 million can afford insurance, but chose not to buy it! That is 36.5% of total uninsured. Of the remaining 20.05 million without health insurance, 45% will have insurance again within four months, because of job changes, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Therefore, government figures place the “problem” at a high of 11.0275 million. The liberal Kaiser Health foundation finds that “chronically uninsured” account for 8.2 million. If we split the difference between these two authoritative sources, we end up with 9.73 million, or 3.4% of American Citizens. The Census Bureau believes that their methodology actually underreported the number of people that have insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
There may not be as many uninsured as their published numbers.
